A blog about some of what I do. I am retired but don’t like to be idle, though that probably depends on one’s definition of idle. Therefore I read a lot though have to admit my favourite novels are usually light in nature and often tend towards whodunnits! I love my computer and once I turn it on it is rarely a quick visit as I often go off on a tangent when I find something new and interesting. I bought my first computer in the dark ages around the time my youngest was born in 1978, a TRS80 and have loved them ever since and it was brilliant when I changed jobs into a computerised office although I was not popular when I wiped the hard drive on one occasion.

I travel a lot around Australia mainly, although so far most of my travel has been in North Qld. , and I do a fair bit of house sitting which is mostly enjoyable as I am willing to travel so get to see and live in some out of the way places.  I have an Oztent because it is so easy to put up, just not light to lift in and out of my ute which I have modified tomake life easier on the road. I have a son who lives in England with his family so if the opportunity arises will spend time there too. I take my hobbies with me, so there is a box dedicated to my woodcarving and another with my long-term embroidery project. You will also find a box full of genealogy papers and information. There is usually a crossword nearby and the ukelele travels with me but I have yet to master that.
